Canada are one of the best teams in the CONCACAF region, currently 41st in the FIFA World Ranking list, and the fourth best in the mentioned region. Only Mexico, the USA, and Costa Rica are better than them.

Canada played in the World Cup in Group F with Morocco, Croatia, and Belgium, and even though they won zero points, subjectively, they showed that they are a solid team and deserved to win at least one or two points. After the WC, they had a good run in the Nations League, where they lost 2:0 against the USA in the finals in a reasonably close game. Unfortunately for their fans, Canada came to this Gold Cup without several best players.

Cuba are only the 16th-best team in the CONCACAF region (according to FIFA World Rankings) even though they have the seventh-highest population in this region. In the previous period, they won the CONCACAF Nations League B but faced some very weak competition. After the Nations League, they played vs better teams and really struggled.

Canada vs Cuba pick: Both teams to score - NO

Canada are clearly the favorite in this match, but they did not play well in the first two matches in this tournament. They drew 2:2 against Guadeloupe and 0:0 vs Guatemala and were a big favorite in both games. Still, since they miss a few key players, especially up front, maybe that shouldn't surprise us that much. Despite winning two points in two games, Canada are in a good position to qualify for the next phase because they need only a win against Cuba.

On the other hand, Cuba have no chance to qualify for the next stage and will be pretty much without a motive in this game. They lost both games in this Gold Cup and managed to score only one goal. But even that goal was from the penalty spot vs Guadeloupe. In fact, that goal was Cuba's only in the previous four matches (Gold Cup + friendlies), so it is unreal to expect a goal from them here.

Additionally, Cuba scored only once in the previous 11 h2h games against Canada.
